The Narrative on Trial

Fiona Rose Diamond began reporting on this case at the decisive procedural hearing (of global importance) at the Amsterdam Court of Appeal on 9th March 2026. This hearing formed part of wider Covid litigation now unfolding in the Netherlands: The "Leeuwarden Litigation."

The civil action, brought against Big Pharma, state actors and institutions—including Bill Gates, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, former Dutch PM, state authorities and media organisations—alleges that a sustained campaign of propaganda and misinformation led claimants to accept mRNA Covid injections, through fear and coercion, that caused profound harm.

On 9th March, the Court of Appeal was asked to decide whether to allow an appeal against an earlier refusal to hold a preliminary evidence hearing—a process that would enable expert witnesses to be questioned under oath and key scientific and factual claims to be tested before the full civil (Leeuwarden Litigation) case proceeds.

The Leeuwarden Litigation (wider lawsuit) began in the summer of 2023, when seven Dutch citizens who were injured by Pfizer Covid injections filed a civil claim in the Leeuwarden District Court. They argue that government officials, public health authorities, pharmaceutical executives and media figures misled the public about the nature of the Covid threat and the safety and necessity of ‘vaccination.’ They assert this misinformation and propaganda created fear and compliance, leading them to take the injections and suffer physical or psychological harm. They are asking the court to declare the defendants acted unlawfully and to award damages.

The separate preliminary evidence case—filed in March 2025 by three separate injured petitioners—was intended to strengthen the primary lawsuit by securing expert testimony and testing contested evidence in advance. Although the lower court refused that request, the appeal hearing represents an attempt to reopen the door to that process. Regardless of the outcome, the main civil trial involving the seven injured claimants will still proceed, but the decision on this appeal could determine whether expert evidence is examined early, prior to the full trial.

I travelled to Amsterdam to bear witness to this hearing and to help bring international attention to what is unfolding in the Dutch courts. Since then, I have worked intensively to translate documents, compile case materials and provide clear coverage so that others can understand both the legal issues and the wider significance of this litigation.

Truth Entered the Courtroom

The Appeal Hearing: 9th March 2026

On 9th March 2026, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal heard a procedural appeal connected to ongoing Covid-19 litigation in the Netherlands. The hearing concerned whether claimants should be permitted to hold a preliminary evidentiary hearing, allowing expert witnesses to present evidence and to be questioned under oath before the main civil trial proceeds. The outcome may determine when and how contested scientific, legal and factual claims are formally examined in court.

The Two Connected Cases

This litigation consists of two closely related proceedings. The primary civil case, initiated in 2023 by seven Dutch citizens, seeks damages and legal declarations against government officials, pharmaceutical executives, media figures and other actors in relation to Covid-19 policy and 'vaccination.'

A second, linked procedural case—filed in 2025 by three petitioners—seeks permission for pre-trial examination of expert evidence intended to support the main action. Both cases rely on overlapping allegations (the truth), defendants and proposed expert testimony.
